Fecken-Kirfel was founded in 1870 by Johann Fecken in Aachen, Germany. The young engineer received generous financial assistance by his father in law, Mr. Kirfel. As a sign of gratitude and appreciation for his support, Johann Fecken named the newly founded company "Fecken-Kirfel".

In the beginning the production range just covered machines for the textile industry and locomotive steam engines, but soon the farsighted engineer Fecken extended it with cutting and splitting machines for leather.
In 1919, Hermann Schiffler bought the company and decided to keep the company’s name since it was already known worldwide. Later, the enterprise was managed by his wife Anna.

In 1969, the ownership and management went over to second generation, namely the three brothers Helmut, Robert and Rudolf Schiffler.

Today, Helmut and Rudolf Schiffler set - together with the 3rd generation, Dagmar Schiffler, Christa Rübben and Jutta Rollinger - essential impulses determining the general strategy and the development of Fecken-Kirfel. Advent of new synthetic materials, our innovative engineers contributed to the continuous extension of the product range. Nowadays, it covers fully-automatic, CNC-controlled cutting machines for processing various plastic materials such as PU flexible foam, PE and rigid foam, but also rubber, solid plastics and cork.
